Drenched in rosy tones, these earrings feature Czech glass beads in shades of pink and small, faceted rhodochrosite gems. A Czech glass rondelle in desert rose tops a smaller, glittering mauve-colored bead. A striking pink rhodochrosite gemstone finishes the earrings, which hang from handmade antique copper ear wires and measure just under 2″ in length. The muted colors give them an old-world feel.
These earrings are part of our Tiny Treasures™ collection, featuring smaller and more delicate pieces made primarily of Czech glass with gemstones and crystals.
Czech glass has been renowned for centuries for its innovative and distinctive colors and finishes. Prior to the 1830s, these beads were painstakingly cut by hand with knives. Today, Czech glass beads are machine made, but no less fascinating. The seemingly endless selection of colors, patterns, textures and styles lend themselves to a vast array of unique jewelry designs.
Rhodocrosite has been nicknamed the “stone of the compassionate heart.” Like many pink stones, it’s associated with love and healing of the emotions.
Just as no two stones are alike, no two of these earrings will be the same. Handmade pieces will by nature be imperfect.
