Description
Soothing green tones and an unusual combination of gemstones create these easy-going earrings with a little extra sparkle. Round and oval serpentine (also known as yellow turquoise) surround a butter jasper bead, set on silver wire with silver colored spacers. An olivine Czech crystal bead dangles beneath, framed by a pair of tiny, faceted peridot gems. These earrings measure 2 3/4″ in length and are set on silver colored hooks.
Serpentine is a mottled stone that comes in shades of green and yellow in attractive patterns. Its appearance varies, leading to comparisons with stones as different as turquoise and jade. Metaphysically, serpentine is believed to help establish control over one’s life.
Jasper is used to refer to an enormous variety of beautiful stones, some with intricate colors and patterns. Jaspers’ names often hint at their appearance. Butter jasper is a softly colored yellow-green or gray jasper found in Australia. It has a remarkably smooth finish, leading to its name.
Peridot, the birthstone for August, has been beloved since ancient times for its apple green color.
Just as no two stones are alike, no two of these earrings will be identical. Each is unique.
